One of our most-loved boots is everywhere this season.
Our POLY, a rugged knee-high boot, has been spotted on the feet of fashionistas across the country. In the south, in the west, in the east and in the north, the consensus is that this boot is best for a cool-weather closet.
The boot works just as well for us here in New England as it does for Sydney of The Daybook, in the mid-west. Sydney pairs POLY with knee-high socks, which deviates in a fun way from the standard boot and jeans look. With this, she wears a belted sweater dress. The belt, cinching her waist and flattering her overall look, matches the beautiful brown leather of her boots.
In a post called “The Perfect Pair,” Sydney recalls how she’s exclusively been an ankle boot gal as of recent. But when presented the chance to wear the knee-high POLY, this was put on hold: “The process of adding knee-high’s back into the equation meant finding a pair that was PERFECT. One that could go equally well with a dress or with jeans, not look “country” but also not too dressy, be super comfortable and also well made so they last longer than one round of an Idaho winter. Enter these babies.”
“These babies,” of course, referring to the pretty POLY she zipped into. We know they’ll give her a stylish Idaho winter.
But POLY isn’t just for Idaho winters. The boot was spotted down in Texas, on the feet of yet another style-savvy lady. In a post called ‘The Best Everyday Boots to Dress Up or Down,” Krystal, of A Pinch of Lovely, gushes over her POLY boots: “I am so excited about my Born Poly boots in brown suede leather. They are easy to dress up and dress down with little to no planning – the perfect boots to grab for any outfit – even an off-the-shoulder sweater like in today’s outfit post from my recent Dallas trip.”
We love the everyday looks put together by Sydney and Krystal. Both chose to wear the POLY in tobacco distressed, a rugged leather with hand-burnishing on the toe and heel to give the boot dimensional color. Coincidence? Nah. This color is beautiful: tobacco distressed is a rich, warm shade of brown that is right at home with your winter knits.
