Shana Draugelis of The Mom Edit fills her blog with wonderfully curated tidbits on kids’ fashion, easy style ideas for dads, and fun family things to do in her home city, Philadelphia. Shana is a fearless woman, a breast cancer survivor, and a mother of two lovely young boys. Her lifestyle embodies the Børn aesthetic; she lives fashionably, comfortably, while juggling work, a lively family, and fun.
A recent post, “That Time I Wore Comfortable Shoes to a Fashion Blogger Conference” begs the question; What kind of shoes did she possibly wear?
In taking a quick (okay, a little more than quick) look, we can see she wore Børn STEPHANE sandals to the conference; a choice we wholeheartedly approve of. STEPHANE is a flat black sandal with an ankle strap and a strap over the toes. Shana substitutes a fancy albeit uncomfortable heel for a pair of these flat black sandals. The STEPHANE keeps an incredibly minimalist silhouette, which is why it works so well here two outfits.
The first outfit was her comfy cool travel look: Boyfriend jeans, white blouse, red leather jacket and black leather bag. Her hope to be comfortable is clear enough in the relaxed silhouette of her jeans and flowing shirt. It makes sense she would opt for a flat sandal that requires minimal effort.
Who would have pictured that a gal can travel in the same pair of shoes she’ll party in later that night? Shana wore STEPHANE with a white lace romper embellished with black floral appliques. There’s no doubt the sandal’s padded insole kept her comfortable after a night of schmoozing and dancing. No doubt, there were plenty of party guests in high heels who jealously looked at Shana’s feet, wishing they had a pair of flat sandals to throw on before the night was over.
Shana had plenty of success during her day spent in STEPHANE sandals. From her pictures, it’s clear the shoe was comfortable enough for traveling and dancing. You can’t say that about many shoes in your closet.
